Remediation Latency
Incident Report for Abnormal Security
Between 4:30am-9:30am on March 17, 2020, Abnormal Security's remediation system observed higher latencies to remediate email. Bad emails continued to be detected at point of delivery, but the remediation of these messages had high latency, resulting in some bad messages remaining in employee inboxes for as long as 30 minutes. This incident has been resolved. Messages that were not remediated within SLA are demarcated in the Threat Log. The incident will be going through an internal postmortem, and further safeguards installed to ensure this does not occur again.
